Play Responsibly
What does Richmond Casino promise about safer play?
1.1 We run Richmond Casino so that adults can enjoy slots, table games and live play as a pastime. Your play should always stay within the money and time you can comfortably spare.
1.2 Winning is never guaranteed, and every bet carries a real chance of losing. Please play only with money set aside for entertainment, never with money you need for rent, bills or groceries.
1.3 We confirm your identity and check that our service is available in your area before taking any deposit. Please play only if it's legal where you live. We follow Canadian rules on anti-money laundering, identity checks and minimum age.
1.4 Our support team is trained to notice when play starts to look risky. If we see signs of harm, we may get in touch, suggest a limit or pause marketing to your account.
1.5 If you are self-excluded or taking a cooling-off pause, we won't send you bonus offers. Promotional emails also stop for that time.
Where can I get free support?
2.1 These organisations provide support at no cost and in confidence, both to players and to their family and friends:
- Responsible Gambling Council: a Canadian non-profit focused on preventing gambling problems and sharing safer play advice.
- Gambling Therapy: free online support for anyone affected by gambling.
- GamTalk: an online peer community where you can talk with others who understand.
- 211 Alberta: an information and referral service that connects people with local community and health services.
- Internet Matters: practical advice for families on keeping children safe online.
2.2 Search for any of these names to reach them. You do not need a diagnosis or a crisis to ask for help. A short conversation early on can make a big difference.
2.3 If gambling affects someone close to you, these services welcome family members and friends too.
How do you stop minors from playing?
3.1 Richmond Casino is for players aged 19 and up. If you are under 19, you can't open an account or place bets.
3.2 We check your age during the ID check that happens before you make your first deposit. Accounts we can't verify can't deposit or place real-money bets.
3.3 If children use your computer or phone, please log out after each session, stop your browser from saving your password and consider installing filtering software. Our Protecting Minors page offers more tips for families.
What tools can I use to stay in control?
4.1 You decide how each tool below is set. Turn them on in your account, or email mail@richmondcasino.app and our team will set them up for you.
Deposit, wager and stake caps
4.2 With a deposit limit, you pick a time period and decide the highest amount you're able to deposit during it.
4.3 A wager limit caps the total you can bet across a time period of your choice. A stake limit caps how much you can place on any one bet.
Reality checks
4.4 A reality check is a pop-up that appears during play. It tells you the length of your current session and your wins or losses so far. You can then choose to carry on or log out.
Time alerts
4.5 Time alerts let you choose a play time that suits you. Once you reach it, we notify you so you can decide if it is time to stop for the day.
Cooling-off period
4.6 A cooling-off period is a short break from play. You pick how long it lasts, from 24 hours up to 6 weeks. During that time your account is locked: no deposits, no bets and no offers.
Self-exclusion
4.7 Self-exclusion is for times when a short break isn't enough. Your account remains locked for the whole period you pick, and we won't send you any marketing. We won't unlock it early, even if you ask.
4.8 While you're self-excluded, please also consider blocking gambling sites on your devices and getting in touch with the support services we listed earlier.
Closing your account
4.9 Just want to close your account? Send a request to mail@richmondcasino.app and we'll close it. We pay out any balance left first. If gambling is the reason, let us know and we'll handle it as a self-exclusion.
How quickly do my limit changes apply?
5.1 A lower limit applies right away. Your tighter limit starts protecting you as soon as you save it.
5.2 If you raise or remove a limit, the change kicks in after 24 hours. That pause lets you think again before anything is updated.
5.3 After it begins, a cooling-off period or self-exclusion can't be made shorter.
How can I check whether my play is still healthy?
6.1 Try our private self-assessment quiz. You answer a few quick questions about how you've played lately. It's done in a few minutes and shows you an honest picture of your habits.
6.2 You can also ask yourself:
- Do I often spend more than I planned?
- Have I borrowed money or sold things to keep playing?
- Do I play to win back losses?
- Do I hide my play from people close to me?
- Has gambling caused trouble at work, at school or at home?
6.3 Said yes to any of these questions? Please set limits or take a cooling-off pause, and contact one of the support groups listed above.
How do I get in touch about safer play?

- mail@richmondcasino.app for account and general questions
- mail@richmondcasino.app for anything else
7.2 Please send your email from the address tied to your account. That way we can find it quickly.
